Assignment 2

Little Book of Days

I appreciate the creative endeavor to make such a book, but reading it straight through was a bit hard. Many of the same themes came about again and again. Example is the massive details about Pigeons. documenting moments of her life and transfering them to art is something most all artists do. Out of the 100 pages only a handful of them made an impression. "I was stung in the face by a Jellyfish, True or False?" I liked that, it made me laugh. Another favorite was about her friend D "but then shes says she always needs something in her mouth, which sounds sensual to me" Over all I like the idea of her book and her changin around theme was nice. There wasn't enough creative uniqueness for me to recommend it.

  1. I felt the same way about the book, when I read your post I felt like I couldn't have said it better myself. The pigeons stuck out to me, one of the lines I liked about them was "I stare at the wall and blink like a pigeon. No haw."

  2. I somewhat agree. It didn't rock my world, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it either.

  3. I agree with you. In my opinion, it was forgettable. It certainly had it's moments that made me chuckle...but all in all somewhat trite
